Sweet Corn Perler Bead Pun Card

This super cute sweet corn perler bead love pun card is simple to make with perler beads and thoughtfully placed on a card you can gift to a loved one!

Perler beads and puns are two of my very favorite things (aside from my children!) I absolutely love making Perler Bead projects with my kids. And they love them just as much if not more than I do.

Kids can learn color differentiation, practice their math and learn valuable skills in the area of patience.

My kids and I have done tons of Perler Bead projects – most recently, lots and lots of PUNS! Who doesn’t love a really “good” pun? I know I do.

And now… we just finished this sweet corn perler bead. It’s absolutely the cutest thing ever – especially when placed on a card and gifted to a loved one or friend!

SWEET CORN PERLER BEAD

This Sweet Corn Perler Bead combines just 3 colors and brings them together to create a cute pun that you can gift to a friend or loved one as a form of encouragement/thinking of you.

• • Perler beads
  • Wax paper
  • perler bead pegboard
  • Iron

First, gather your beads and count out each color required:

• • Green: 68
  • Yellow: 88
  • Black: 9

Get started by laying out all of your materials on a flat surface. I like to lay a clean terry towel down to prevent the beads from rolling around the table (and onto the floor!)

You’ll start the layout with bottom of the sweet corn, and then slowly work your way to the top tip. When the sweet corn is complete, get ready to iron your creation.

Lay your wax paper atop and gently press with a warm iron for 30-35 seconds.  Avoid over-pressing because the beads will melt a little too much.

 

I THINK YOU’RE A-MAIZ-ING CARD

In addition to those items you’ll also want to have:

• • 8.5 x 11 cardstock
  • adhesive dots (pick up at the Dollar Tree)
  • paper cutter
  • 5×7 envelopes (pick up at Hobby Lobby or here on Amazon)
  • completely optional: 5×7 adhesive sleeves
  • this I think you’re a-MAIZ-ing card (prints 2 per page!)

Once you print the card, cut the paper in half with a paper cutter, and affix your sweet corn on top with a single adhesive dot.

Then place in a 5×7 adhesive sleeve. Tuck in a 5×7 envelope and mail with a single forever stamp.
