Carrot Perler Bead Pun Card

I CARROT about you! This carrot perler bead is the perfect love pun, & form of encouragement in a card that can be given let someone know you love them!

Perler beads and puns are two of my very favorite things. I love creating new ways to encourage friends and show love to family members with pun cards that are cute. Taking the time to send a card can mean the world to someone who is struggling.

Perler beads can also be a wonderful way for kids to learn hands-on – not just color differentiation, but mathematics, and most importantly – patience.

Carrot Perler Bead

This adorable carrot Perler Bead project combines just 4 colors and brings them together to create a cute pun that you can gift to a friend or loved one.

• • Perler beads
  • Wax paper
  • perler bead pegboard
  • Iron

First, gather your beads and count out each color required:

• • Green: 45
  • Orange: 100
  • Black: 77
  • Pink: 4

Get started by laying out all of your materials on a flat surface. A terry towel can be a helpful base for your bead board and can prevent little beads from rolling all over the table and floor.

You’ll start the layout with bottom of the carrot and then slowly work your way to the leaves. Once you are done, iron your carrot for 30-35 seconds, making sure not to hold the iron too long in one place.

Ironing too much can cause the beads to melt a little “too” much.

In addition to those items you’ll also want to have:

• • 8.5 x 11 cardstock
  • adhesive dots (pick up at the Dollar Tree)
  • paper cutter
  • 5×7 envelopes (pick up at Hobby Lobby or here on Amazon)
  • completely optional: 5×7 adhesive sleeves
  • this I CARROT About You! Card (prints 2 per page!)

Once you print the card, cut the paper in half with a paper cutter, and affix your adorable carrot top with a single adhesive dot.

Then place in a 5×7 adhesive sleeve. Tuck in a 5×7 envelope and mail with a single forever stamp.
